A US underwear manufacturer has invented pants designed to hide the smell of farts.
The Under-Ease pants have an in-built multi-layered, replaceable filter, made of felt, charcoal and fibreglass wool.
To prevent gases escaping without passing through it, the underpants are made from air-tight fabric and completely sealed with elastic around the waistband and legs.
Under-Tec president and inventor Buck Weimer said: “Under-Ease are underwear for protection against bad human gas.

Leonardo DiCaprio wanted to give up acting for a time after the hit movie “Titanic.”
DiCaprio was back to being considered a “another piece of cute meat” after the 1997 film’s spectacular box office success, an image he had wanted to get away after his days on the cover of teen magazines, he told Newsweek for editions on newsstands Monday.
“It was pretty disheartening to be objectified like that. I wanted to stop acting for a little bit,” he said at the magazine’s Oscar panel discussion with other actors. “It changed my life in a lot of ways, but at the same time, I can’t say that it didn’t give me opportunities. It made me, for the first time, in control of my career.”
After many successful movies and critical acclaim, DiCaprio said he loves acting.

NEW YORK (Reuters Life!) - As Oscar season gets underway, followers of fashion are being urged to monitor celebrities on the red carpet and report any out-of-place bra straps to the Strap Police.
With bra straps transformed from a practicality into a hot fashion item, one Web site has set up a name-and-shame service to out celebrities and other women suffering from “ugly bra strap syndrome.”
Margarita Reis, who runs bra company Margarita Couture, said the growing range of bra straps — from clear plastic to colored, encrusted with Swarovski crystals or decorated with flowers — meant there was no excuse for women to let worn or discolored bra straps slip into public view.
She has set up the Strap Police on her Web site www.brastraps.com to help keep unsightly straps out of sight.

The marriage of nine dogs to nine bitches female dogs to promote canine culture was expected to take place on Sunday in the northwestern town of Jaipur, the Times of India reported.
But the wedding which, according to Hindu rituals involves sitting in front of a sacred fire and exchanging flower garlands, was canceled after groups including People for Animals (PFA) criticized the event.
BEIJING, Dec 4 (Reuters Life!) - A Chinese coal mine has made the news for a reason other than the grim series of accidents nationwide — it is claiming a world record for the the highest number of simultaneous weddings held underground.
The Datong Coal Group in Shanxi province held weddings for 10 miners on Saturday 300 metres (1,000 ft) down the pitshaft, the People’s Daily said on Monday.
“The weddings were unprecedented nationwide, even worldwide,” mine manager Liu Suisheng told the newspaper. “We’re going to apply to Guinness World Records.”

BEIJING, China (Reuters) — A Chinese entrepreneur is suing a Beijing trade bureau for denying him a permit to sell bags of “World Cup air” and for scotching his plans to bottle and sell “2008 Olympic air,” a newspaper said on Thursday.
Li Jie, who describes himself as chief executive of the Lunar Embassy to China and once tried to sell land on the moon, sought a permit to sell “World Cup air” for 50 yuan ($6.30) a bag to soccer enthusiasts unable to make the trip to Germany this year.

ATTLEBORO, Mass. — Officials at an elementary school south of Boston have banned kids from playing tag, touch football and any other unsupervised chase game during recess for fear they’ll get hurt and hold the school liable.
